Magic Gates were not captured by the devil. The distance between worlds can be very close in an era of magic and myth. The different races depended on their world exchange resources. Justice and faith were taken over by greed and violence. The races were prepared to take control of the Gates. People signed an agreement with Elves to fight the devil. The Gates have a lot of power.
